Amazon just changed their cashback rewards for their Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card and are offering a juicy bonus for new card holders to try it out.

You can now get a $150 Amazon Gift Card instantly upon approval and earn 5% back everywhere on up to $2,500 in spending for
the first 3 months after account opening ($125 value). The previous bonus was just a $100 Amazon Gift Card.

Prime membership is required to receive this bonus. It is not clear if this is a promotional bonus or not since there is no mention of an end date on their offer terms. Hopefully this offer is here to stay!

Amazon is dropping 2% on drug stores and adding Chase Travel and Local transit & commuting.

Keep in mind, the main downside of this card is that it does require an Amazon Prime membership, which currently costs $139 per year. However, for those who already have an Amazon Prime membership or who frequently shop on Amazon, the rewards and benefits of this card can more than make up for the cost of the membership.
